Club 55 is the first private beach in Pampelonne. The magical story of Club 55 is a family whose father was an explorer and who in 1947 fell under the spell of the beach and the bay of Pampelonne. Later he bought 1600m² of land and installed his family in a hut on the beach. In 1955 the film crews of the movie "Et dieu créa la femme", with "Brigitte bardot" as the main actress disembarked to shoot the beach scenes. From there a beautiful story begins for this establishment which has always remained in the hands of the family, and which has become a true world-famous institution.
