The Musée de la Citadelle is to relive the epic of the fishermen of the small port of Saint-Tropez. Today the whole world comes to Saint-Tropez but there was a time when Saint-Tropez went all over the world.
Then, crossing the museum's rooms you will know the history of the naval past of Saint-Tropez, its torpedo factory and its cable factory, the history of fishing and its evolution, species caught and wars maritime. An attractive and exciting museum where visitors are actors, especially with a curiosity cabinet where you can open doors from discovery to discovery, but also by using new technologies like sound books.
A museum where even the smallest marvel at models of ships, objects such as long sights or surgical cases ready to be imputed.
A play is dedicated to the emblematic figures of the history of Saint-Tropez, with magnificent busts like that of Bailli de Suffren of Saint-Tropez, and that of General Allard. The Musée de la Citadelle is open from 1 October to 31 March from 10 am to 5.30 pm and from 1 April to 30 September from 10 am to 6.30 pm.
The highest point of Saint-Tropez and exceptional place, during the summer period of the events are organized on the Citadel: Fight night has become the unmissable event of Saint-Tropez, a superb fighting show where great Thai boxing artists and kick-boxing compete in a ring installed at the Citadel.
The Tropezian nights are also: "Les soirées de la Citadelle", exceptional concerts and humorous performances in an idyllic setting, last July, artists such as Louane, Maître Gims, Christophe Willem, Tom Jones, Marina Kayes and many more ... came to sing 'at the end of the night !
